He had so much fun at the concert…
We went to a free blues concert downtown tonight. We had so much fun. The weather was perfect, it wasn’t too crowded, and the music was good too. I don’t know who the first artist was, but the second was Ronnie Baker Brooks. Good stuff. Luke had a blast running around, jumping with the music. He was a big fan of the drums. Luke had so much fun at the concert, he cried the whole way home. He DID NOT want to leave. Seriously, he just kept pointing in the direction of the concert, begging to go back. I mean, I’m glad he had a good time, but I didn’t expect him to throw such a long fit at the end. When he has his mind set on something, it’s stuck! Makes me hesitate to do more fun stuff with him, for fear of the aftermath. Is that wrong of me?

Oh My Gosh, I am sooooooo jealous. I LOVE Ronnie and his band. Did he have a good piano player? Was the bass player cool? Did Ronnie go out in the crowd and shake hands and play the guitar with his tongue? I am soo missing the blues, especially, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Tinsley Ellis, and Michael Katon. Not any blues in our area of OK. Bummer.

I am so glad Luke liked the music. I will have to buy a DVD of one of their concerts for him.

Mom, I was thinking of you during the concert. I knew you liked Ronnie and I was remembering when you and Dave joined us for Blues on the Square two years ago. Don’t tell anyone, but I actually had to fight back the tears. It sucks that you are so far away
