My name is Mindy Richmond. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and child of God: Daughter and sister since birth, child of God since age 7, friend since preschool, wife since age 21, and mother since age 29! For most of my childhood I dreamt of growing up to be a wife and mother. I found an amazing man right away and married him in 1999, but it took eight long years of waiting before I was given the responsibility of mother. Boy, was it worth the wait!

I crunch numbers by day (and love it!) but I still have a sense of humor despite the stereotypes about accountants. Not everyone shares my sense of humor but it doesn’t bother me. I laugh anyway.

I started blogging way back in the day because it was a fun outlet for the crazy thoughts that run around in my head all day. Turns out some people find them amusing, though I’m still not sure why. Now that I know people actually read my blog the writing has changed a bit but I still try to keep it real. Keep it real… that’s so cliche. What I mean is I try to keep writing for the fun of it and not to please or entertain. Otherwise the tone ends up feeling strained, and if you’ve ever eaten anything after it’s been strained, like peas for example, it’s just not appetizing… ew. Oh yeah, I tend to talk about food a lot too. It’s genetic, so those are the posts that usually get my family members commenting.
