Maybe you have witnessed the Lions commercials that ask “Do you believe in now?”. I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker. I believed in the Lions. I thought they had a chance to finish above .500. I thought they had a chance to make the playoffs. Who knows, maybe this was the year they would win their second playoff game in my lifetime (I’m 31 years old).

After watching parts of todays game (the parts in between my two naps) I realize I have been duped again. Every year I say “I think the Lions have a shot at doing something this year”. Well, I said it again this year. What an idiot I am.

I’m kind of torn on what to do with Luke. I don’t want to raise him to be a fair weather fan (also known as a typical Michigan fan), but I also don’t want to subject him to the yearly heartache of being a Lions fan. One of my great, great uncles played for the Packers. Maybe that gives me a valid excuse to teach Luke to root for another team. Could teaching Luke to be a Lions fan be considered child abuse?

Oh well, at least I still have Call of Duty 4.

FINALLY, I was properly introduced to this thing called Webkinz. Momteacherfriend’s kids came over tonight and showed it to me. They are way into this thing. I guess you have to have one of these Webkinz stuffed animals in order to be able to even log in, so they were nice enough to let me play under their usernames. I played some games and earned them some money. It was super fun. I think I’m addicted. Now I just need to get my own Webkinz.

Oh, also I memorized the theme song to SpongeBob Squarepants. I can now check that off my list of goals to accomplish. Here, let me sing it to you:

Call me crazy, but I think SpongeBob is kinda cute. I think for my next birthday I want a SpongeBob cake. And instead of the birthday song we could sing the theme song. Yes, I think I’m onto something here!

In the last two weeks I have gone to bed *before* midnight a total of two times. Two times. I’ve been up late cooking, farming, designing clothing, and redecorating homes. Yes, I have become a slave to iWin games. I’m a sucker for games that are like playing house when I was a little girl. They are completely pointless but for some reason I can’t pull myself away. Mike thinks I’m nuts but that’s okay, I don’t really get his games either.  

It may be time for a temporary fast from games to break the cycle. I need sleep!

Kari and I had such a blast putting together a baby shower for our “little” sister, Ashley, and had even more of a blast at the party. I think everyone had a good time.

Can you believe Ashley is 9 months pregnant? She sure doesn’t look it.

It wouldn’t be a shower without games. We didn’t tell Ashley ahead of time that we were going to make her eat baby food, but she was a good sport as always. She thought all the flavors were disgusting except for the bananas. She wouldn’t even swallow the mac and cheese. I don’t think she’ll be feeding any of this stuff to little Gavin. Do like Kari and I have done and get yourself a $12 food grinder and feed him the real thing!

Kari is adding pastry chef to her repertoire and baked this beautiful cake. The frosting was amazing. I think I ate three pieces before the night was over!

Thanks to Michelle, I have discovered Insaniquarium. I played for four straight hours last night. Well, I did take a few small breaks to make a pizza but that’s it. Help me, I’m hooked!
